The Farm Shop

Welcome to The Farm Shop, I'd say this section of Tiny Town definitely has the most detail and resources, mostly all the way from America!
The Farm Shop was brought to life in April 2023, we didn't want a regular supermarket, we wanted to bring different textures and variety of healthy food to our farm shop. Take a basket and shop away, we promise it will be the cheapest food shop you will ever do!

What Can I Learn in The Farm Shop That Will Benefit Development?
- imagination skills, shopping for recipes, exploring different textures of food and using different resources. (EAD, UTW)
- using new vocabulary and communication to customers and ask for payment from customers. (CL, L, UTW, M)

- Using basket to choose items, counting items in your basket (M), (PD).

- Till communication skills with customers (CL).
- Understanding money has meaning, print has meaning. (M, L, UTW).
- Understand healthy foods help our growth such as vegetables, dairy, protein. (PD, UTW)

How Can I Maximise Development With My Child Here?

- Use imaginative play, ask for a particular items "Can you find a banana?"

- Ask questions to prompt communication such as "how much does this cost?"

- Ask child to describe colours and textures of food in the baskets.
